We Al-Li
Storytelling Visualisation // August 2024
Listening to this story enlightened me to the struggles that Indigenous youth are facing when reintegrating into their communities.
The yarn spoke about how youth coming from detention centres had nowhere to go that was trauma informed and spiritually conscious.
When reading this story a certain saying came to mind, “a sense of place.” Everyone should be entitled to a space where they feel seen and heard. Everyone should know that they are supported in their healing journey.

Create an image, artwork or design to appear next to and support a story retelling the experience and learnings of someone who works with or has been aided by We Al-Li. This story will then be featured alongside others within a book.

The “bubble” should evoke warmth and safety, the shapes and colours inside feel tumultuous since there is still a level of trauma being experienced and in the centre, you’ll find “a sense of place.”
